Refuge photographique pour vautours
Le refuge photographique pour les vautours du CRV de Jbel Moussa est le seul endroit en Afrique du Nord et l’un des meilleurs au monde où l’on peut voir et photographier prés de 7 espèces différentes des vautours. Sa situation géographique près du détroit de Gibraltar le positionne comme point de transit pour des milliers de vautours chaque année entre l’Europe et l’Afrique.
Le CRV de Jbel Moussa est un établissement appartenant à l’Agence Nationale des Eaux et Forêts du Royaume du Maroc, en plus de ses installations pour la réhabilitation des vautours et ses programmes de suivi scientifique et de réintroduction des espèces de vautours disparues dans le pays, le centre dispose d’un Site d’Alimentation pour les Vautours afin de faire face à la pénurie de nourriture durant certaines périodes de l’année.
Ce refuge a été équipé par l’Association Marocaine de Protection des Oiseaux et de la Vie Sauvage (AMPOVIS) dans le cadre du projet « Contribution à la conservation du Vautour de Rüppell et la valorisation du Birdwatching dans l’AP de Jbel Moussa », en partenariat avec l’Agence Nationale des Eaux et Forêts (ANEF) en lien avec le programme PPI-OSCAN III de l’UICN-MED.
Vulture Photography Hide
The vulture photographic Hide at Jbel Moussa CRV is the only place in North Africa and one of the best in the world where you can see and photograph almost 7 different species of vulture. Its geographical location near the Strait of Gibraltar makes it a transit point for thousands of vultures every year between Europe and Africa.
The CRV Jbel Moussa is an establishment belonging to the National Agency of Water and Forests of the Kingdom of Morocco, In addition to its facilities for rehabilitating vultures and its scientific monitoring and reintroduction programmes for species of vulture that have disappeared from the country, the centre has a Vulture Feeding Site to cope with food shortages at certain times of the year.
This Hide was equipped by the Moroccan Association for the Protection of Birds and Wildlife (AMPOVIS) as part of the project entitled « Contribution to the conservation of the Rüppell’s Vulture and the development of birdwatching in the Jbel Moussa PA », in partnership with the National Water and Forestry Agency (ANEF) and the IUCN-MED PPI-OSCAN III programme.
